Grilled Romaine Salad

You can top this salad with anything!  The fundamental piece is romaine lettuce, sliced in half, brushed with oil & grilled.  The rest is up to you!

I really love this salad because it’s a bit different than others.  I actually love the slightly wilted lettuce & the smokey flavor.  You really don’t even had to add any other vegetables to the salad.  You can just dress it & enjoy it.

Here’s a quick recipe but get creative & use what you have on hand!  All you need is a grill, romaine, & some olive oil.


1-2 Romaine Hearts

Olive Oil

1-3 Celery ribs (with the leaves), chopped

Fresh Mint Leaves, chopped

Your favorite clean dressing – Whole Sisters Dump Ranch is one of mine!

  1.  Heat your grill to 450º.
  2. Halve the romaine hearts & brush with olive oil
  3. Place the romaine hearts cut-side down on the grill.  Grill for about 2-3 minutes until they begin to wilt & char.
  4. Top with the celery, mint & dressing!
  5. Enjoy!
